New Breast Cancer Weight Management Project starts in June

Around 2 years ago I worked with the dietetics team at Ipswich Hospital and we ran a pilot project working with ladies who were recovering from Breast Cancer treatment and who were finding it a challenge to manage their weight. The aim of the pilot was to educate the group on effective nutrition and exercise. Over the 6 sessions Debbie the dietitian delivered a comprehensive education program around food, portion sizes and meal planning, I then delivered 6 exercise sessions introducing the ladies to lots of different types of exercise and how this impacts on the body and weight management. The ladies were also given pedometers to help them understand how active they were. The project was an amazing success with all the ladies achieving great results.

We are so excited to have now received funding to run 10 new courses between now and next spring! We will be running the courses across Ipswich and I have an amazing team of passionate instructors delivering some fantastic sessions including Pilates, Zumba Gold, Toning Circuits, Legs Bums and Tums, Meditation in Movement and Low impact Intervals.
